Setting up Schools in Perspective Lite

Setting up schools and keeping headteacher (HT) details current on Perspective Lite is essential for accurate records. This guide covers checking school access, setting up new schools, and updating HT details efficiently.

To lessen the burden of maintaining your school list, details about schools are automatically updated with the latest Get Information About Schools (GIAS) data.

With peace of mind that your schools are automatically set up and maintained within Nexus, the only thing you need to do is set up their Perspective Lite accounts so you can start sending documents (and receiving documents if you have Broadcast Plus), setting up File Requests and sending Confidential Files.

Checking if a School has Access to Perspective Lite

The first step is to check whether the school already has a Perspective Lite account. To do this, navigate to Admin (in Nexus) > Perspective Services and scroll down to the School List.

 

 

The schools listed here already have a Perspective Lite account, so if the school you're searching for isn't on this list, you'll know it needs to be set up on Perspective Lite.

If the school is already on the list, it does not need a new account, and you can already interact with them using Broadcast.

Setting up a School on Perspective Lite

Our Support Team are responsible for creating Perspective Lite accounts. So you'll need to provide them with some details. There is an 'HT Import Template' attached to the bottom of this article that you'll need to download, complete and return to perspectivesupport@angelsolutions.co.uk

The team will securely set up the school accounts and confirm the details with you by sending back an export of the new accounts for you to validate.

Please note that the Support Team will first sanity-check the contents and may need to contact you with questions if the data or formatting is incompatible.

Once everything has been confirmed, we will send the welcome emails to those head teachers at a time that is convenient for you.

The headteacher can then set up any additional users who require access via the Settings area of Perspective Lite.

Updating Incorrect Headteachers on Perspective Lite

If the school already has a Perspective Lite account but the headteacher information is incorrect, our Support Team can update these in bulk for you.

Please download the attached HT Import Template provided at the bottom of this article, fill it out with the new headteacher's details, and return it to the Support Team at perspectivesupport@angelsolutions.co.uk.

If an HT is linked to multiple schools or requires access to more than one school, please include this in the email to our Support Team, along with the linked school's DfE numbers, and we can link their accounts under a single login.

The team will securely update those users and confirm the details with you by sending back an export of the accounts for you to validate.
