Notifying is the final step in uploading a file to Broadcast. Once you have published any changes that have been made to the documents, the Notify option will become available. When clicked, this will send an email to each of the schools in your LA that has had a new document made available to them via Broadcast.
If you have made a document available to all of the schools in the LA, then selecting the Notify option will send an email to all schools. If you have only uploaded a file to a single school or group of schools, then only those schools will receive an email.
Clicking on the Notify button will not immediately send an email to all schools. You will get a chance to see which schools are going to receive emails before the notifications are sent.
When notifying the schools, you can preview the emails that will be sent to the school by clicking on the Preview option next to the relevant school entry in the list.
You can also cancel the notifications by clicking on the Clear List button. This will remove all the currently pending notifications from the list.
If you cancel the notification, then all changes that have been made since the last notification will not be included in the notify list.
Please note: You will need to check the notification list regularly, as it will continue to add pending emails for new files, so the list can become quite large if emails are not sent or cleared periodically.
