The Analytics Export allows you to download an export of school interactions on files your LA has sent via the Broadcast tree. The export lets you see the school and user who accessed a file via Perspective, along with the date and time of the download, allowing you to keep a record of file access over time.
This can be incredibly useful for reviewing engagement of files you've shared, checking whether schools have accessed key files, and keeping a record of file activity across Broadcast.
Please note that at this time, the export doesn't currently include uploads sent via Confidential Files.
Downloading Data
To access the Analytics Export, select Admin, then click Export Log in the Analytics Export panel. You'll be presented with a date range pop-up, allowing you to select a specific time frame.
Note: The date range refers to when your LA distributed the file, not just when schools interacted with it.
For example, selecting 90 days will return all school interactions for files that were shared with schools within the last 90 days. As opposed to all school interactions in the last 90 days, regardless of the date the file was sent.
The export also includes schools that didn't interact with the file, making it easy to identify exactly who has and hasn’t downloaded the files during that period.
You can use predefined dates, such as 30, 60, or 90 days, or enter custom dates using the calendar widget. Once you've selected the date range and applied it, click Download .xlsx.
Tip: The export allows a maximum of a 6-month window. If you need to export a full year of data, you can run this in two separate six-month batches.
Note: If your LA attended the 2026 pre-release webinar, you may already have received a 12-month export log as part of the release preview. Our webinars are a useful way to see upcoming changes early and understand how new features can support your work.
